HUNTER VALLEY
The Kevin Sobel family-run winery in Pokolbin in the Hunter Valley has been sold to Sydney residential developer, Romeciti, for $7.3 million.

The purchasers have plans to convert the property into a luxury resort and forms part of their "Green Life" plan in developing high-end "green" properties for both the business and its customers to connect with nature away from dense cities.

Romeciti communications officer Ash Plaskett said, "we want to make Kevin Sobel Winery a world class destination for Romeciti residents, locals and the general public to enjoy private wine tastings, stunning views and exclusive, resort-style accommodation, with each individual villa being designed around a unique theme.

"Longer term we're painting a bigger picture, combining residential living, tourism and lifestyles in a sustainable way.

MACQUARIE PARK
Stirling Property Funds secured a mixed-use development potential site at 2 Byfield Street in Sydney's Macquarie Park for just over $15 million.

The 2,600sqm office/warehouse on a 3,727sqm site is currently leased to Vodafone, who will be vacating the property when its lease expires in 2019.

"We believe there are areas across Sydney which have a high level of growth potential. This is backed up by the investment from the state and federal government particularly in Sydney's West in transport infrastructure" Stirling chief executive Matthew Hyder said.

AVALON BEACH
A 604sqm retail property at 46 Old Barrenjoey Road, Avalon Beach, has been traded from the Kopetko family to a local investor for $4.15 million.

This is the first time the site, which holds a development upside, has been on the market in over 60 years.

Knight Frank's Anthony Pirrottina and Arland Domingo secured the deal prior to auction.

COOMERA
A development site situated in the Brisbane-Gold Coast corridor has been snapped up in an off-market transaction. The 5.65ha property at 404 Yawalpah Road in Coomera was traded from an owner-occupier vendor to a local private developer for $3.65 million.

The deal negotiated by Adam Willmore of Knight Frank who said that, “the purchaser of this site has bought the property with the intention of undertaking a childcare, retail, service station and residential development, and has lodged a development application for this purpose.”

The land sits on a prominent corner in Coomera adjoining four other properties on Kerkin Road earmarked for a new catholic school, St Joseph’s College, which is scheduled to open at the start of 2019.

CALOUNDRA
A Caravan Park at Golden Beach on the Sunshine Coast has recently sold to a syndicate of Private Sydney investors for $5.2 million.

The waterfront property also has an approval for 27 townhouses, but the new owners wish to maintain the site as it currently operates.

Colliers International's Nick Dowling and Baydn Dodds handled the sale.

TEMPLESTOWE LOWER
A 3,385sqm site at 20-23 Airdrie Court, Templestowe Lower, has been secured by a Chinese developer for around $6.1 million.

“The housing market has increased by nearly 50% in Templestowe Lower since 2015, so it is no surprise that we are now witnessing sale results for development sites above $400,000 per townhouse,” Colliers International’s Hamish Burgess said.

Colliers International’s Hamish Burgess, Jun Lai & Joe Kairouz handled the sale on behalf of a local developer.

EPPING
A 4,721sqm vacant industrial site in Melbourne’s north has recently been sold for $2.1 million.

The site, at 78 Willandra Drive, is approved for 16 office/warehouse units.
