As a follow-on to our interview with Arnold Vitocco, we’re fortunate to be joined today on our program by Mark Couter - Chief Executive Officer of Vitocco Enterprises and highly respected businessman, whose diverse career extends across more than twenty-five years in senior banking & finance positions.
Following graduation from Charles Sturt University with a Bachelor of Business degree in 1991, Mark commenced his career at LeasePlan and quickly rose to become General Manager of Sales, a position he held for some four years.
In early 2000, he joined revered global institution GE Capital, working initially in the business’s capital markets team before being appointed to the role of Managing Director - Property & Franchise Finance in 2004.
After close to a decade at GE, Mark then transitioned to the Commonwealth Bank in 2009, rising to become the group’s Executive General Manager of Commercial Banking, a role that saw him lead the corporate and commercial banking division of CBA Nationally including oversight of more than twenty-thousand customers across a broad range of industry sectors.
More recently, Mark was appointed Chief Executive Officer of diversified family business Vitocco Enterprises with a broad remit that encompasses strategic planning, portfolio optimisation & assessment of investment opportunities across the group’s varied interests.
